For natural disaster, i will choose the Boxing Day Tsunami as the most major incident. For   "men-made" event, I think 11/9/2001 is the most important one in 21st century so far.

For your information, I've spent a lot of time thinking for the options of this poll. I'm pretty excited that I've managed to collect some of the world's most important events in the 21st century. If the event that you think is the most important is not here, please kindly state your opinion here. As for me, I've chosen the tsunami. Why? It's because it caused over 213,000 deaths! That's certainly a huge and terrifying number, probably the largest death toll ever recorded for a tsunami. I'm not going to eat the so-called "fresh seafood" anymore within this period of time. Those sea creatures might have eaten the dead bodies of the tsunami victims! Yucks!

It must take a lot of energy and spirit to find, select and list down all major events in 21st century! In the new millennium, human pace seemed to be more quicker and many things had happened in only an instance. The world is changed dramatically in only a few years.

i kept asking myself and changed my mind when i did the vote.  i choose tsunami disaster as the most major event. This is the latest news that really shocking. i never thought that this natural disaster would happen so near around me.Even some friends can feel the quake. What a shock! but i dun't feel it but i hope i did.The surroundings are quite scary.Decease all around, smelly, alive people crying, blood bleeding and so on. Tsunami disaster funds are all around. So, i hope that all the victims can recover from the disaster as soon as possible

Are you referring to those who are still alive? That's because the victims that you meant might include those who were killed in this disaster. And if that's the case, how can the deceased recover? Recover from death? Never heard of it before, but there's one --- Jesus Christ, during the Resurrection almost 2000 years ago!

The latest tsunami affected the most countries(i think) and a lot of innocent people were killed. Even if they managed to survive it, the pain due to the loss of their love ones, their homes and their sources of income were already bad enough. So, I'll pick that as the most major event so far.
