Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code --- 32 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list, this novel has sparked debates and controversies about the legitimacy of Western and Christian history. The story is based mainly inside the Musée du Louvre (Louvre Museum) in Paris, France, where Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa is hung on one of the museum's walls. Inside this book, you will find many brilliant and superb photos of the scenes captured alongside the storyline. Although I haven't read it yet, I'm sure this is going to be an interesting story. Why don't you guys check it out?
Emmm...actually I am not very interested in History. This has been caused by the SPM Sejarah, the subject I think disliked by most of the SPM candidates. I prefer encyclopedia or factual books, especially regarding astronomy, space explorers, nations and physics discovery. I also like to read Guinness Book Of World Records, getting know more about everything around me. When I feel bored, I even read world map. Haha, my mum says I am gone crazy whenver I do that!
I just bought The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, both by the bestselling author, Dan Brown. The Da Vinci Code that I bought is a special illustrated edition, a must-have for this book's fans. It features the photographs of the settings in this book. Nice...... Both books are centred on the Christian religion and many more thrilling secrets. But those Christian clerics blamed and denied those facts. The 'facts' are all nonsense to them, as they've claimed.

Hey Jay, world history is far more interesting than the history we are exposed to in school. So don't let your shadowy experience in school scare you away from learning more about world history.

I agree. As Malaysia is an Islamic nation, therefore all the Malaysian students are required to study more about the history and the development of Islam and its impact on the people here. I used to hate History when I was in primary school, but this hatred only lasted till I was in Standard 5 (if not mistaken), when I began to fall deeply in love with this subject. My dad had bought me (when I was in Standard 3) a world history book when he was in Australia. But I didn't even open the book as I hated this subject very much during that time. And due to this reason, the book was abandoned by me on my bookshelf for 2 years, until I finally opened this book. I was truly spellbound by the exciting and interesting facts of the world history, especially the European history, which covers the Greek Empire, the Roman Empire, the arrival of Christianity in Europe, the Dark Ages, the Black Death, the Renaissance, the Reformation, the Napoleonic Ages and all the way to the modern world. I was also intrigued by the great history of China, especially the rise and falls of the imperial dynasties that lasted for over 2000 years. Let's get over the nightmares that we had in secondary school. Don't you think it's really pity not to know more about this ever-changing world?

I will try to love history. But you know, it's not an instant matter. In fact, it's time-consuming to bring up myself to that interest since I have a shadowy past in secondary school.
I happened see a programme on Discovery Channel last Wednesday in my uncle's house, it was about the history of the Great Wall of China and was really very interesting! I didn't know that a wall could have so much historic value and interesting stories behind it. Both my dad and I were attracted to the documentary instantly, even though I really have a phobia of history, also caused by my shadowy past. History is actually very interesting, you should start with the history of China, about all the dynasties and stories on how they came about and why they fell, really amazing! For the first time in my life I actually love history! Though I wonder how long this will last......
