I love crabs, especially those being smoked. But crabs are killed specially for you, which means they are still alive and fresh when you haven't ordered the dish. My religion, Buddhism, forbids this act harshly. Therefore, whenever I'm thinking of eating a delicious big red crab, I'll think again from the religious views. Furthermore, my mum forbids us (my whole family) to act as a murderer just to satisfy and fulfill our appetites, as she's a devout Buddhist. But I just can't help thinking of the delicious meat of those crabs. Oh, I'm in a dilemma!

I'm also a crab lover.I have just having seafood with my family two days ago in Bukit Tambun, a place for seafood lover. The seafood there are quite cheap and fresh cause it was near to the fish village. The crabs there are really delicious. But I totally agree with Admin's mum say, it was cruel to eat them.
At least we know that food such as chickens are killed before being transported to the market for sale. It is not us who order them to be slaughtered. As for the crabs, they're killed because we demand them to be killed in a seafood restaurant. We'll say "Let's order a crab", which indirectly means "Let's cook it up!". Poor crabs!

I think it's still the same......If you buy chickens from market, you are paying for the slaughterer to kill them in indirectly way. Somehow you are more evil as you are the accomplice in the "killings"......
The chickens have been killed before we reach the market, just like those which are sold in supermarkets, freshly wrapped for sale, and it's definitely not us who demand them to be killed. Certainly, it's still cruel to kill them.

He means that if it's alright to eat chicken, it's also the same for crabs. Both are killed for you, only one is directly and another is indirectly. If you think the government should ban crabs from being killed and eaten, then why don't they do the same for chicken too? Then the poor chickens won't be killed and eaten. Don't you think it's the same?
