The Hong Kong Disneyland which is slated to open on September 12, 2005, will be facing another threat from the mainland. This is due to the 2nd Disneyland in China will be constructed in the equally-stunning city of Shanghai, which will become the 6th of its kind in the world by the year 2010, as being estimated by officials. Looks like Mickey and friends are putting in much effort to invade the gigantic 1.3-billion Chinese market!

One thing. Do you guys know that the only Disneyland in Europe --- Disneyland Paris, or simply being known as Euro Disney, is the largest tourist attraction in Europe? It attracts more than 12 million visitors a year. Wow! And as for you Jay, Shanghai is definitely potential in doing that. It's one of the fastest growing cities in the world, and it's gradually overtaken Hong Kong as the gateway to China and its financial capital. Modern Shanghai will never be the same again. The construction of the Disneyland here in Shanghai will definitely threaten those Disneylands in Hong Kong and also in Tokyo.
