Q: CORSICA IS A LARGE FRENCH ISLAND IN THE MEDITERRANEAN. THE LANGUAGE OF THE NATIVES, CORSICAN, IS NOT A FRENCH DIALECT. IT'S ACTUALLY A DIALECT OF WHICH NATION?

One more thing. I've forgotten to add some important rules in RULES & GUIDELINES. I apologize for that. Jay, you may notice that I've edited your answer. This is due to one of the new rules I've just added, rule no. 8:

"The answer revealed by the questioner MUST be written in CAPITAL LETTERS, in this way: A: THE CORRECT ANSWER [ONLY the answer revealed by the questioner is written in CAPITAL LETTERS. The answer(s) of the participant(s) MUST ONLY be written in small letters, in this way: your answer (DO NOT add A:, as it's ONLY reserved for the questioner)]."

It may sound complicated. Please refer to RULES & GUIDELINES again for the complete list of the newly added rules. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Corsica (Corsican: Corsica; French: Corse) is the 4th largest island in the Mediterranean Sea (after Sicily, Sardinia, and Cyprus). It is located west of Italy, southeast of France, and north of the Italian island of Sardinia. It forms part of the French Republic, and is known as the birthplace of Napoléon Bonaparte. Corsican (Corsu) is a Romance language spoken on the island of Corsica (France), alongside French, which is the official language. Corsican is also spoken to some extent in the Gallura and Sassari areas on the island of Sardinia. It has similarities to Italian and in particular the Tuscan dialects of Italian.
