"A human being is a part of the whole, called by us Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty." -Max Frisch
I'm always proud of myself being a contributor in this universe. No matter how small a role I play in this enormous universe, I'm still a matter that can never be destroyed. I'm made up of matter which occupies space. Even if I die then, I still exist in this universe in some other forms. It just does not make sense if you say I will be gone forever since matter cannot be destroyed. And that makes me feel good about myself.

What do you mean by some other forms? Spirits? In Buddhism, Buddhists believe that a person that does good deeds all through his life will definitely reincarnate as a human being again after he dies. Likewise, a person that commits any unforgivable sin and still doesn't repent will surely be punished into the deepest and most horrendous level of hell --- the 18th level. There, the sinners will have to pay for the utmost price at what they did when they were still alive. They will either reincarnate in an animal form (mostly domestic farm animals as they will get slaughtered by humans for their meat) or become a lonesome and desolate soul that will never reincarnate. Argh...... I think I'm going off-topic again. I should've moved this to the Religions & Beliefs forum!
