Each person is supposed to profess only one religion. Surprisingly, most Japanese profess 2 religions: Buddhism and Shintoism. As for most Malaysian and Singaporean Chinese, they also profess 2 religions: Buddhism and Taoism or Confucianism. What are your opinions? Do you think it is appropriate for a person to profess 2 or more religions?

Well, do you really believe that each religion has its own God? If you really do mean it, then there will be tonnes of Gods and Goddesses! The Indic religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism etc) preach that each religion is just a different path to go near God. That means any mortal who takes any of these paths will definitely meet again with other people who're taking different paths at the same destination --- the truth of life and the greatest inner peace and happiness. It's such a grievous sight to see so many conficts and killings between the existing religions throughout the centuries, and are exacerbated each day, even till nowadays. Why must they fight against each other and endeavour to prove that their religion is the only true religion? Since all religions (paths) share the common destination, why are humans still involving in the never-ending religious chaos? It's time for all humans to learn to tolerate, accept and respect each other, regardless of religions, nationality, ethnicity, cultures and skin complexions. By then, our world will definitely become a peaceful and harmonious heaven to live in!
